How To Change Phone Number In Gmail

Step 1. Log in and go to Google account settings.
Use Gmail, the Google website, or another method to log in to your Google account (Google uses one account for all Google products). The upper right side of the Google web page will display an image (your own profile photo or your name initial turned profile picture) after you log in. Please click on the image to expand it. There will be a Google account button. This button needs to be pressed.
Step 2. Personal info tab
After you click that button, you’ll see the screen below. Next, select the Personal Details tab.
This tab will be on the left side of a screen with larger screen width, but it will be on the top.
Step 3. Click on Phone to change
If you choose Personal information, you’ll see this screen containing a phone number in the Contact details section. Select the PHONE row.
Step 4. Select number to change
Your phone number and status will be shown after clicking Phone (verified). That should be connected.
Step 5. Enter the password to confirm
You will now be redirected to the login page, where you must re-enter your login password. After you’ve finished that step, click Next.
Step 6. Edit phone number
When you click on the three dots on the right side, you will be given the option to edit your phone number. Inside the dropdown menu, select the option to edit.
Step 7: Finally, edit number
You’ll be taken to the same page. Choose the Edit option.
Step 8: Update number
You’ll see a popup asking if you want to UPDATE NUMBER or cancel. Click UPDATE NUMBER to change your number.
Your number will be ready for verification as soon as you click NEXT. The option to get a confirmation code will display on the screen. Select GET CODE from the dropdown menu.
Step 9: Enter code to verify a number
After choosing GET CODE, you will receive a Google verification code over SMS to that phone number. On the screen, that code will be requested. After inputting the six-digit Google Verification code, check your Phone and click VERIFY.
Your Phone will be successfully confirmed if you enter the correct Google Verification code.
