2024 BAC Mono Debuts With More Power And Less Weight

The BAC Mono, which will make an appearance at the Monterey Car Week 2023 in an improved form, is one of the purest road-going sports cars available today. The single-seater now has a somewhat more curved appearance thanks to subtle design elements borrowed from the Mono R. It has main LED lights that are centrally located, and the rear has a spoiler that is aerodynamically designed to extend over the wheel arches.
A naturally aspirated 2.5-liter engine modified by Mountune powers the 2024 BAC Mono and generates a respectable 311 horsepower and 313 Newton-meters (231 pound-feet) of torque. With only 570 kilograms (1,257 pounds) or 10 kilograms (22 pounds) less weight than before, it offers a boost of 6 horsepower and 5 Nm (almost 4 lb-ft) in a track-focused vehicle.

A six-speed sequential transmission with adjustable gear ratios transfers power to the rear wheels from the four-cylinder gasoline engine of Ford origins at 8,000 revolutions per minute. The revised Mono, according to BAC, is one of the fastest-accelerating ICE road cars ever, reaching 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 2.7 seconds (reduced by 0.1s).
One of the finest ways to have fun while wearing clothes is with the Mono, which has 546 horsepower per metric ton and a 41:59 front-to-rear weight distribution. It may be ordered with a variety of Pirelli tires, including a Trofeo R tire made especially for the Mono. Additional suspension and chassis improvements have improved handling, and the engine now has a new carbon airbox and individual throttles bodies.
Come 2024, BAC will introduce a turbocharged version expected to use an adaptation of Ford’s EcoBoost 2.3-liter engine found in the Focus ST. It will allow the Briggs Automotive Company to sell the car in markets where there are stringent emissions regulations.
