2024 Toyota Highlander Base Price Increases By $2,500, Nightshade Edition Added

For the 2024 model year, Toyota is making some changes to the Highlander lineup, including a significant adjustment at the bottom. The range now starts with the LE, replacing the previous entry-level L rating. As a result, the entry-level model now starts at $39,120, an increase of $2,500. It should be noted that the LE trim costs $100 more than it did last year. Of course, the necessary $1,395 destination and handling fees are not included in the asking price.


A Nightshade Edition has replaced the Bronze Edition in other places, and it will also be added for the 2024 Corolla Cross. Only the LE and XLE versions of the Highlander with the hybrid drivetrain are available in this new flavour from Toyota. The nine more Nightshade models in the same way that the lineup (yes, there are 10 now), the SUV has a plethora of black accents: grille trim, side mirror caps, door handles, sharkfin antenna, rear badging, and rear spoiler. Go for the XLE Nightshade and the roof rails are also dark.

2024 Toyota Highlander Nightshade Edition

The 18-inch five-spoke wheels only come in black, and you can choose between Cement, Wind Chill Pearl, Midnight Black Metallic, and Ruby Flare Pearl paint colours. Inside, the XLE boasts two-tone Softex-trimmed seats with silver accent stitching and embossed fabric inserts, while the LE Nightshade has black fabric seat upholstery. Additionally, the pricier trim level includes second-row captain’s chairs, heated front seats, and a driver’s seat with 10-way electronic adjustment.


The Highlander Nightshade comes with an eight-inch touchscreen in both trim levels, but the XLE offers the option of upgrading to a 12.3-inch screen. A standard motorized tailgate and moonroof, second-row sunshades, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror with HomeLink universal garage door opener are all features of the more expensive variant.

The Highlander LE Nightshade with front-wheel drive costs $41,720 from Toyota, and the equivalent all-wheel-drive model costs $43,320. The XLE is the next step up, costing $44,870 for the FWD model and $46,470 for the AWD version.
