The classic Internet Options menu is only available when utilizing Internet Explorer mode in Edge on Windows 11. However, if you still require it to adjust IE Mode settings, I will demonstrate various methods of its location and launch.
Use the Start Menu
The simplest way to access Internet Options in Windows 11 is to launch the Start Menu search bar and enter the corresponding name. To do that, right-click the Start button or use the Windows key on the keyboard and type Internet options in the Windows search bar.
When you get there, you will see the Internet Options app at the top of the results; click on it to open the panel. This tool is fast and easy to use when you can access Internet Options without going through hoops in the computer’s settings.
Use the Run Command
The other method of accessing Internet Options in Windows 11 is via the Run dialogue box containing the command. Right-click on the Windows icon and clear the Run command. Then, enter inetcpl cpl and hit enter. This will open the Internet Properties panel, the same as Internet Options.
This method proves beneficial when you love using hotkeys or need a particular setting without wading through the Start menu options.
Use the Control Panel
The old-school Control Panel is also present in Windows 11 and allows you to access Internet Options. To do this, you must open the Control Panel and switch its view to either large icons or Small icons.
Down scroll to Internet Options by finding and clicking on them. This will open the same Internet Properties window as the other methods discussed above in this tutorial. Alternatively, in the Category view, it goes to Network and Internet > Internet Options to open the panel.
These three are the fastest and easiest ways to open Internet Options and help you make the changes you want. However, as I mentioned, Internet Options is now only related to IE Mode, which we do not need to use for daily work. Other internet configurations are available in the Network & Internet group within the Windows 11 Settings.
