If you aim to get Rare loot, better equipment, or tons of gold in Minecraft, finding a Bastion will do. The Extinguish Blaze IOU is mostly available in the Nether and will be hard for those faint of heart but a thrilling challenge for the adrenaline junkies. Remember that you will fight the nasty Piglin creatures who protect the Bastions.
This guide will tell you all there is to know about the Bastions and how to get them without running into trouble with the Piglins.
What do You Find in a Bastion Remnant in Minecraft?
Within Bastion Remnant, as usual, you can get much great loot. Yet, there are also some dangerous mobs inside as well. When it comes to mobs, the most frequently encountered is Piglins. They use crossbows or golden swords, but they will not fight with you if you don’t provoke them and use gold armour.
You also need to be on the lookout for Piglin Brute. These mean guys look just like Piglins but with the black shirts. They wield axes of gold, which deal a fair amount of damage, and they’re always aggressive, so watch your back. The final one is Magma Cubes. In my opinion, they are not in all Bastions, but as with many things, they can be annoying when implemented in the company. Ensure you buy many items and enchanted equipment to avoid getting killed easily.
How to Find Bastions in Minecraft
There isn’t really a way how to locate Bastion Remnants in Minecraft, for sure. However, there are a few tips and pieces of information that can ease the job.
Bastions can be found in any of the Nether Biomes apart from the Basalt Deltas; therefore, when searching for Remnant, avoid going to Biomes other than Nether.
While they can be found on Lava Lakes, the easiest way to get to Bastion Remnants using Strider is to traverse the Lava Lakes. Just have a Saddle on you and some kind of Warped Fungus on a Stick.
There are 4 different types of Bastions:
- Hoglin Stable Bastions: They are usually composed of two different buildings, so you should not mistake them with Housing Bastions. The Hoglin Stable Bastions have Hoglins inside them and often have very little in the way of valuable items.
- Hoglin Stable Bastions: Most of the time, they are made up of two distinct structures; therefore, do not confuse them with Housing Bastions. Most of the time, there are Hoglins inside the Hoglin Stable Bastions, and such structures hardly contain items of great value.
- Bridge Bastion: Make sure to look for a few Bastions with monster-like doors and a gold statue at the entrance to the bridge. Gold blocks are usually abundant at This Bridge Bastion.
- Treasure Bastion: It also houses a reasonable quantity of gold blocks and nephrite ingots. Depending on the bridge that joins the two sections of the structure, it is easy to spot. This type of Bastion is never best ignored.
What is a Bastion in Minecraft?
Bastions are buildings which can be located all over The Nether in Minecraft. As they contain lots of Piglins, Piglin Brutes, Hoglins and Magma Cubes, these structures should not be entered easily. But they also keep a lot of gold and loot chests. It has peculiar rewards including ancient debris, gold blocks, enchanted and special equipment, etc. Using and opening up Bastions can indeed be a great boon while playing the game and get a hold of some useful items for future leveling up.

No. Bastions can only be found in the following Nether biomes but the Nether Fortresses themselves: Bastions can appear in any biome, so if you are attempting to find one, you will just have to wander around the map.
