WhatsApp is not just a platform to interact with others; sometimes, the best or most important conversation you’ll have is with yourself. As it may be seen, the platform has great interaction capabilities when it comes to connecting people, and the below shows some of the ways I manage my mail using the Message Yourself tab.
Why My Phone’s Most Important Chat Is With Myself
It is also a unique feature of several messaging applications, and WhatsApp allows the user to send a message to himself. That’s why one of the most useful discussions on my WhatsApp was with me. No one wants to be narcissistic—most people simply want to know how to stay on top of things.
Forming a message to myself as a memo Note to self on WhatsApp is as informal as taking a quick note of whatever I need to remember or accomplish. And the best part? It is with me all the time, that is, in my pocket.
My Online Sticky Notes That Never Get Lost
Well, it can be said I spilt water on the note. I wanted to note how it affected it so badly that it was no longer easily noticeable. Adopting the Whats app’s message yourself feature for personal information eliminates such figures as lost notes.
Before jotting down a reminder or an idea, I now type to myself on WhatsApp, send myself Text messages or even leave voice notes. The difference? These notes never end up at the bottom of the pile on my desk, mixed in with other papers. By effectively pasting my chat on the top of the window of WhatsApp, I can simply use a tap to refer back to my notes.
I have also developed my own note-saving courtesy of using WhatsApp for note-taking. Calls, meetings, grocery lists, articles to read, and jokes to watch later are within my reach of a few swipes.
The relative advantage here is the fact that the process is easy. WhatsApp is my go-to messaging app, so enabling its integration with notes was easy. Furthermore, the search function on this tab is very effective as I can type what I am looking for, and then it quickly provides me with the desired note or URL.
Temporarily Holding Files Until I Need Them
Sometimes, a recipient downloads a certain file or document that he or she is certain to need at some other time in the future, but the phone storage space is limited. There’s no better example of this than WhatsApp’s self-chat, which entails all your digital stuff for a while.
It might be a PDF, screenshot, or funny joke – everything goes to my WhatsApp. WhatsApp saves every shared image, video, and voice note on its server, meaning I can download whatever I want anytime without using up my device space. And there’s no need to look for the file in e-mail and rename it. After filling in a file, I can remove the filled file just by deleting it from the chat.
Although the self-chat feature of WhatsApp helps shift your files for some time, it is not permanent storage. For files I require in the long run, I place them on the phone or use free cloud storage.
Using this chat also provides an opportunity to make important files easily visible. For instance, when you receive a boarding pass with a flight tag that Google Wallet cannot recognize, you save the PDF in the WhatsApp chat.
Using It for Cross-Device Accessibility
WhatsApp has multi-device support. It means that through a few touches on the phone or clicks on a tablet or computer, I can see all my messages or necessary files. It’s easy for me to write a quick note at the office and continue finishing it on my home computer.
In this way, if I want to find a file that I myself sent a while back, I don’t have to wonder which device I last used to send it. Everything I chat with is stored on any device associated with my WhatsApp number.
Another attractive option within WhatsApp is the Message Yourself option, which helps people remain organized during work. But you should always remember what information is stored on the computer. If you deal with WhatsApp scams, protecting info, such as passwords or money, in a separate place, like a locked folder or a closed cabinet, is critical.
