Have you ever sent an email with an important task to your recipient, but they have not responded? Of course, your mind will jump to whether the person is busy, dealing with technical issues, or has blocked you. Also, Yahoo will not notify you when someone blocks your email, therefore, you must take clues from other sources. This is how you can figure it out.
1. Ask Them Directly
The easiest thing you can do to know if someone has blocked your email is to contact them through another platform such as phone, text, or social media in case they don’t answer you through your email. In other cases, they might be able to ignore or block your messages even;
2. Send a Test Email
Send an email with the subject “URGENT: PLEASE REPLY ASAP.” If they immediately reply, you will not be blocked. They could block you or are just not in the mood if you don’t hear anything from them.
3. Use a Different Yahoo Account
If indeed you are suspicious that your email is blocked, try creating a new Yahoo account and sending an email message from the new account. Others might not work.
- Visit Yahoo Sign-up.
- Click Create an account and enter your details.
- Set up your new Yahoo email address and password.
- Once signed in, email the suspected person and see if they respond.
If they reply to the new email but not your old one, it is possible that your old address has been blocked.
4. Use Another Email Service
Many email services like Outlook integrate delivery and feature reach receipts, thus the appropriate technology is there for them to know if your email is being received unless it is directly off.
- Open Outlook and sign in.
- Click New Mail to create a message.
- In the options menu, switch on Request delivery receipt and Request read receipt before sending.
- When you get a delivery receipt but not a read receipt, it may be a sign that your email has been ignored. Your email may be blocked if you do not receive any of the receipts.
