Have you wondered which video has a song that you wanted to use for the IG Reel? No matter what, there are several occasions when you would need only the audio from a video file. This is how you need to download audio on your smartphone.
Use a Third-Party App to Extract Audio From Video
This approach is perhaps the easiest for extracting audio from smartphone video via an application downloaded from the store. Numerous free apps are available in the App Store and Play Store for features; however, you can see how one of the most popular apps for Android and iPhone works in detail.
All iPhone and iPad users should take advantage of the MP3 Converter. Here’s how to use it:
1. Welcome to the Open MP3 Converter application. To get started, click on the + at the bottom of the application screen.
2. Choose where you’d like to import the video: from a shared computer, through WiFi Transfer, camera roll, iCloud, or import from another. In this clip, I have taken a video from the camera roll import list. If you do that, you’ll have to allow the app to use your camera roll for you to be able to save the picture. Just go to settings and then permit the application full access whenever a pop-up appears.
3. Select the Default Option as MP3 to convert this video to the preferred MP3 format.
4. Select the Default Option as MP3 to convert this video to the preferred MP3 format.
Your video will be easily transformed into an MP3 file in less than a few moments. You may be required to view an ad during this process. Once converted, your file will be available in Converted Media, click it, go to Export. From there, an option to save it to the Files app installed for an iPhone or another option to share it with other applications installed for the device.
To convert videos to audio, an Android application is the Video to MP3 developed by InShot Inc. Here’s how to do so:
1. Open the Video to MP3 app and touch on Video to Audio. You will then be asked to allow the application to access your device’s music, audio, photos, and videos. Just tap Allow when prompted.
2. Choose the file for which you want to extract sound.
3. You’ll now see two different dropdowns: Format and Bitrate. The format is available as buttons beside its name: MP3, AAC, WMA, FLAC, WAV, AC3, and OGG. Though all of them are audio formats, MP3 is the most familiar and plays on nearly every device and player.
4. Last but not least, click on the Convert button.
Your video will now be converted into the audio format you selected. From there, you can tap Open to play it in a media player, Share to move it to Google Drive, Gmail, or another app, and Set to use it as the ringtone.
Use an Online Video to MP3 Converter
It might not be convenient to download an App, especially considering cutting audio from a video may only be needed once. As much as I will guide you through one particular converter for this example, it will apply to most of them. Here’s what you need to do:
1. Select a converter you prefer, but I will use Free Convert.
2. Tap Choose Files.
3. Choose where you’d like to import the video from: It can be from a Device, Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, or URL.
4. After you have uploaded your file, you simply click on Convert, and within a few seconds, you will receive your converted file.
5. Next to the converted text, there is Download; click it to save your MP3.
It’s as simple as that! If, for instance, you wish to set the alarm from a song in your video or create an audio of a scene from your favorite movie, either of the methods above can enable this within a blink of an eye. If you wish to do the same for non-iOS or Android devices, then be sure to read our comprehensive tutorial on how one can extract audio from a video regardless of the device type!
