With the many creator tools Meta is adding, increasing your reach or follower count on Instagram has become easier. AI stickers is one such new feature. Stickers are similar to emojis, images, and photos that you can use to add to your Instagram posts and stories.
With color and style added, and to increase engagement, they are great at what they do! Generative AI prompts take AI stickers to all new levels of creativity, creating completely new stickers from generative prompts. Read on to learn how to use Instagram AI stickers and how to get them.
Step 1: Update Your Instagram App for How to Get Instagram AI Stickers
Stories only work on mobile devices, so you can’t get these stickers on your Windows laptop or Mac just yet. Go to the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) on your smart device to see if you have the latest version. If there’s a ‘Update’ button showing, tap it and go through what the screen prompts you.
Note: After this update if you don’t see AI stickers, it just means they’re not yet available in your region.
Step 2: Open Instagram
Go to your Instagram app and see you were logged in.
Step 3: Start a Story
To begin writing a new post, press “+” at the bottom of the screen, and from the options available select “Story”. Otherwise, swipe right on the main screen to open Instagram’s camera and choose “Story” at the bottom of the screen.
Step 4: Add Content to Your Story
Take an image or video, or choose one from within the Instagram app.
Step 5: Press the Stickers Icon
You’ll be looking for an icon at the top of the screen that looks like a small sized square with a smiley face.
Step 6: Choose AI Stickers
When you press the Stickers icon, a series of options appears. Look for AI Stickers. And if it’s not here, it may not be here because the feature is being released in phases.
Step 7: Enter a Prompt
You’ll find yourself looking at a box that reads, “What would you want to create?” Type the things you need on your new AI sticker.
Step 8: Generate Your Stickers
You’ll be given several options click on the blue Generate button and press. Keep these stickers or click ‘3 more’ to view more designs. So you can also change the prompt (refining or completely changing it) and try again.
Step 9: Add Stickers to Your Story
Just click the sticker you’re happy with, and it will drop it into your story. To move your sticker, and then drag your finger to where you want your sticker, or pinch/pull your sticker with two fingers to resize. It can also be used in DMs.
