Method 1: Via Desktop
You can add birthdays on google calendar even right from your PC.
Option 1: Via Contacts
Follow the steps mentioned below to add contacts and create birthdays on Google Calendar:
1. Launch Google Calendar and click on Birthdays on the left side pane.
2. Now, take a trip to the official page of Google Contacts.
3. From the left panel click create contact.
4. Select Create contact.
5. In the appropriate field, add the name of the contact together with the necessary information about this person.
6. Swipe right and then click on Add Birthday.
7. Populate the date of your birthday and click on the Save button.
8. Now go back to Google Calendar main page and then refresh your browser.
Option 2: Via Events
Another way is to go directly to Google Calendar and add a reminder for the birthday as an event. Here’s how:
1. Login and go to Google Calendar. Then, from the left pane, click on Create.
2. Select Event.
3. Insert a title, and, navigating through the menus, point to More Options.
4. Add a tick on All Day.
5. Go to the Does not repeat option, then click to select Annually on the date of your choice.
6. Click on Save.
Method 2: Via Phone
Another way to add birthdays to Google Calendar is by accessing Google Calendar on your phone.
Option 1: Via Your Contacts
As You will see below, the following points should be followed in order to learn how to add birthdays from the phone.
1. Open Google Calendar from the browser on your mobile phone.
2. Expand the left panel, click on the plus icon at the top and choose Browse calendars of interest.
3. Tick on Your Contacts under Birthdays.
Option 2: Via Events
However, if you do not want to sync Google contacts into Google Calendar, then you can directly input birthdays using the app. Check out how to do the same:
1. If you’re not already in Google Calendar, open the application through your Google account and click on the plus sign at the bottom right of the home page.
2. Tap on Event.
3. Under Add a title box, type in a description.
4. Now, slide the toggle on as it relates to All Day.
5. Choose Do not repeat and select Yearly.
6. Tap on Save.
