What has this update added? A community-focused transfer ownership tool is being developed by WhatsApp and will be accessible in a later release!
We mentioned in the article about the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.24.4.22 upgrade that WhatsApp was releasing a feature that allowed channel ownership to be transferred. WhatsApp wanted to make it easier for channel owners to assign administrative duties to other users with this update. It seems like WhatsApp is dedicated to creating comparable fixes for other features that are already in place, expanding the capacity to assign ownership to other parts.

The screenshot that is attached shows that WhatsApp is now testing a feature that will enable community admins to give another user ownership of their communities. This feature will be released in a later app version.
An admin agrees to give up primary administrative rights and responsibilities in all community group conversations, including the option to disable the community as a whole, when they transfer community ownership to another user. It’s crucial to remember that they will continue to have the position of community admin, even though other admins have the authority to demote or ban them from the group at any time.
We believe that the addition of this capability might improve the user experience in multiple ways by making ownership transfers within communities easier and guaranteeing stability and continuity even in the event of a change in leadership. This could be especially helpful in situations where community administrators have to take a step back for personal, professional, or time-related reasons.
Furthermore, the benefit of maintaining admin status even after ownership is transferred will provide continuity and stability in the community. We think that keeping the admin role will enable the original administrator to carry on assisting and leading the community, even when changing ownership could require giving up primary administrative rights to another member.
A feature that allows communities to transfer ownership is currently in development and will be included in a later app release. As soon as we have more details on this feature, we will publish another article.
