Through the Google Play Beta Program, WhatsApp is now updating to version 2.24.11.20.
What has this update added? A functionality to view all media posted in community group chats is being developed by WhatsApp and will be available in a later release!
We said in the post regarding the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.24.11.18 upgrade that the messaging app was developing a community ownership transfer feature. In order to maintain continuity and stability within communities during changes in leadership, this feature is intended to provide community administrators with an improved means of assigning their major administrative duties to another member.
It seems that WhatsApp is now dedicated to providing community members with more capabilities in an effort to better organize their media.
The snapshot that is attached shows that WhatsApp is working on a feature that will allow users to view all media shared in a community rapidly. This feature is expected to be released in a future version. To make it simpler for community members to find and access shared content, this area will give them a summary of all the photos, movies, and other media assets that have been shared inside the community.
Moderators will find this tool very helpful, in our opinion, since it will enable them to rapidly assess all of the media that members of the community have submitted. This can assist in upholding their own community norms by making sure that objectionable information is recognized and dealt with right away.
Furthermore, by having easy access to the media provided in those group conversations, community members who are not as engaged in those chats may also gain from this feature by staying informed and catching up on content or developments that are significant. Members of the community who frequently need to locate particular photos or videos uploaded within the community may also find this feature helpful.
